Gas Valve Neckpiece

Made from antique bottle containing moss and skeleton key.
The bottle is actually screwed into a valve from old gas lamp and they fit together perfectly!
Unfortunately it was later damaged by airline security apparently thinking that it was some sort of incendiary device or who knows what. They basically forced it back open (it was glued shut to make sure it wouldn’t loosen later on) and it has never been the same. The piece of measuring tape and the watch gears on the surface cover the part that was damaged.
It hangs by decorative steel wire and a leather cord with a hand made clasp.

      Hiya Amazing One!

Can you give a girl a big head or what!!! It seems not long ago I hadda dream (or was it a daydream they are almost the same to me) that I made you a fish necklace. Yer a Pisces right?!?!? Or maybe the dream was that you were fishing *for* a necklace. hehehe

I do have one bottle (somewhere) and one gas valve that might fit together of many bottles and valves that don’t. I put them in my printer cabinet near each other so someday I could try making another one similar to this.

So all is not lost! And I’m also making some jewelry in that Robert Dancik class so don’t give up on me yet! Perhaps we can come up with something worthy of such a coveted spot in your collection.
