Seahorse Pendant

Inspired by the crystal blue summer days Kerin spent riding with her sister at Seahorse Ranch through cool salty air. To be at Half Moon Bay just as sunshine won over the fog, it was . . . in that moment . . . everything.

From resins, steel wire, beach sand, copper tubing, pieces from dissassembled tire chain, coral, pigments, seahorse, fishing swivels, optical lens, linen thread, heishi, corrugated cardboard, sea glass beads, copper beads, hand fabricated clasp.

I visited Half Moon Bay in Feb 08 while visiting my mom in San Jose…it is such a beautiful place. This is just the color of the water there.

This is wonderful, and a great way to remember your times at the beach. The ocean was such a huge part of our life, that my husband and I had my wedding ring re-designed on our 10 year anniversary. I sketched a wave beside the diamond, and they created it like my sketch. It’s stylized, but reminds me of our times on the beach in Bandon every time I look at it.

I think that nothing can compare to Half Moon Bay it’s beauty is really all it’s own. This necklace captures it’s beauty and color and reminds me how truely beautiful it is.
